Meet Trisha
Professionally, Trisha Roy is an international realtor/business broker, instructor, and diversity and sustainability specialist. She works with the local Chamber of Commerce to help promote Gainesville’s identity in the international arena. Trisha serves as President for SCORE’s North Central Florida chapter to promote small businesses in the area. She teaches various audiences, from realtors to small business owners. She has been invited to speak about her area of specialization and leadership to various audiences of advanced academic students. Trisha serves on the final judges panel at the University of Florida Veteran's Entrepreneurship Program.
Academically, Trisha holds two Master’s degrees; the first in Ecology & Environment from the Indian Institute of Ecology & Environment, and a second in Management from Kettering University. Personally, Trisha is an avid nature photographer, dancer-choreographer, and practices Shotokan karate alongside her two boys. Trisha volunteers on many local committees and acts as an organizer and cultural lead for Gainesville’s Indian community. She is a published author on topics of ecological and environmental interest and leadership theories, with many publications in newspapers and magazines. She has also published a book of poetry.
